OMV Gas Marketing & Trading GmbH (OGMT) has just decided to terminate its Austrian Supply Contract with Gazprom Export (GPE) with immediate effect due to fundamental breaches of contractual obligations by GPE. The volume of natural gas under such Supply Contract amounted to up to 7,400 MWh/h whereby no deliveries of natural gas were made by GPE to OGMT under such contract since 16 November 2024, 06:00 CET.

The volume of natural gas affected amounts to up to 7,400 MWh/h.

OMV Gas Marketing & Trading GmbH (OGMT) has just obtained an arbitral award in relation to its German Gas Supply Contract with Gazprom Export and - following analysis of such arbitral award which provides for damages to OGMT amounting to EUR 230,160,848.79 plus interest and cost - will take steps to recover such damages from Gazprom Export. Such steps may deteriorate the contractual relationship under the Austrian Supply Contract of OGMT with Gazprom Export, including a potential halt of gas supply thereunder, thereby affecting the Austrian Virtual Trading Point. The volume of gas potentially affected would amount to up to 7,400 MWh/h.
